Windshield + PVD Film High-Precision Alignment & Bonding
A two-way alignment and lamination process for PVD film and glass. The alignment stage moves the film to expose two adjacent edges of the film and the two matching edges of the glass, and cameras record both sets of edge positions. The offset between film and glass is calculated from the recorded edges, and the stage then brings the film and glass centers into coincidence.

Highlights

Simple setup: the film and glass only need to appear in the camera view, and moving the camera has little effect on alignment accuracy

Fixed glass: the glass does not move during or after alignment, reducing motion-induced error

Simple coordinate integration

Separate imaging: film and glass are imaged separately and do not interfere with each other
Typical application
Mainly used in the automotive industry
